On June 15, we were part of something unmatcha-ble.
Dancing Cow teamed up with the incredible Tencha — India’s clean, ceremonial matcha brand — for a Matcha Rave at Soho House Mumbai. Yep, you heard that right: matcha and rave in the same sentence. And no, there were no cows harmed. Just one that danced. 🐄
What went down
Set against the iconic backdrop of Soho House’s lounge, the Matcha Rave was equal parts chilled-out and vibey. While the bass dropped, so did our oat milk — straight into hand-whisked Tencha matcha shots.
We served over 300+ creamy matcha drinks, powered by Oatish — our hero oat milk made with oats, mung, and millets. It was:
-
Frothy (without curdling 👀)
-
Clean (zero sugar, zero cholesterol)
-
And loved by everyone — including first-time oat milk drinkers who came for the matcha and stayed for the oat.
The Crowd? Iconic.
From baristas and wellness enthusiasts to Soho members and that one uncle who thought it was a green lassi — the energy was contagious. People sipped, danced, asked questions, and yes, even tried to buy cartons from the bar (we didn’t blame them).
The most said sentence of the night:
"Wait... this isn’t dairy?"
Why This Collab Mattered 🌈
At Dancing Cow, we don’t just show up for the drinks. We show up for moments that bring people together — across taste, values, and vibes. Tencha shares that spirit. Their matcha is rooted in ritual, ours in revolution.
Together, we celebrated:
-
Plant-based living 🥛
-
Japanese craft 🍵
- And zero compromise on fun
What’s Next?
Let’s just say this was the first rave of many.
We’re already dreaming of our next barista takeovers, oat milk cocktail nights, and pride pop-ups. And yes, we’re always down to party — as long as it’s plant-based.
Thank you to Tencha, Soho House Mumbai, and everyone who showed up, sipped slow, and asked for seconds.
If you were there, we love you.
If you weren’t, we’ve saved you a glass. Come find us. 💚
